Goblin Market

By Polly Pen and Peggy Harmon
Music by Polly Pen
Adapted from the poem by Christina Rossetti
Directed by Blanche Case

Two proper Victorian sisters, both now grown women and mothers, return to their childhood nursery to relive the haunting memories of their youth. Magically they are transported back to their girlhood, as their nursery becomes a woodland glen peopled by bizarre goblins who entice them with luscious fruits and promises of unimagined ecstasies.

Goblin Market was presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.

This production of Goblin Market was made possible in part through at grant from The Open Jar Foundation (www.openjar.org) and the support of Production Workshop at Brown University (pw.brown.edu).

Goblin Market ran February 16th through 19th (2012) at the Production Workshop Upstairs Space, 7 Young Orchard Ave, Providence, RI 02906.
